Since Pepper is one of my very favorite people in the world and A Twist of Faith is one of my very favorite books, I thought it would be fun to see what some of PEPPER’s favorite things are! So, you know, I asked her 🙂
I am THRILLED to be able to talk about two of my very favorites – A Twist of Faith and Pepper Basham – all day today! Right now, I want to spotlight the book a little bit, and Pepper has graciously provided an excerpt for your swooning…er… READING pleasure 🙂
Welcome to PEPPER DAY!!!
It’s Pepper D. Basham’s birthday, and we’re celebrating all day here at Reading Is My SuperPower!! I can think of no better way to get the day started than with the COVER REVEAL for her April 2016 contemporary novel A Twist of Faith.
This week’s Top Ten Tuesday theme is the books we are most anticipating in the first half of 2016. I started out the list yesterday with my contemporary “can’t waits”. Today I’m going to look at the historical fiction I’m most looking forward to from January to June.
And I’m warning you right now – there’s way more than ten 🙂
A couple of weeks ago, I brought you a new list each day of the best books I read in 2015. This week will be similar except I will be talking about the books I’m most anticipating for the first half of 2016.
Let’s kick off the week with the contemporary genre!
*Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly blog linkup hosted by The Broke and the Bookish* I’m excited about today’s theme – those authors whose debut novels have us itching to get our hands on their sophomore release. One of my favorite things about blogging is introducing people to talented new […]
It’s time to party!! We are having a Cover Release Party for Pepper D. Basham’s second historical romance, The Thorn Keeper, set to release in February 2016. Pepper’s debut novel, The Thorn Bearer, arrived in May 2015 and has been met with fantastic reviews. A few notes of praise for […]
*Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly blog linkup hosted by The Broke and The Bookish* It’s Tuesday, folks, and you know what that means – another installment of the popular blog linkup “Top Ten Tuesday”. This week’s theme is author duos you’d love to see write a book together. I’m […]
I was tagged by Deanna @ anovelglimpse (thanks, Deanna!) in the Fall Time Cozy Book Tag, started by Sam @ Novels and Nonsense. The one who needs rescuing isn’t always the one in the tower. Rapunzel can throw a knife better than any man. She paints beautiful flowering vines on the walls of her plaster […]
So I was digging my way out of a TBR tower-collapse when I got the notification that CJ over at Not Another Dumb Blonde had nominated me for the Sisterhood of the World Bloggers Award. Thanks, CJ! Now, I normally don’t do tags/award because… well… SO MANY BOOKS! (See above graphic […]
“You should be kissed and often, and by someone who knows how.” ~Gone With the Wind “Is this a kissing book?” ~ The Princess Bride Class is in session today for Top Ten Tuesday! And, since I’m a teacher in my other life, I couldn’t be happier. Grab your notebooks […]
Fictional World Travel Challenge Hosted by: Between Library Shelves Today’s challenge is to list 3 to 6 books of fiction that take place in countries other than the one where you currently reside. I’m excited about this one because I’ve read so many wonderful books that are set in other countries, and […]
Can you believe that today is the last day of June already? Today’s Top Ten Tuesday theme is the top books we’ve all read so far this year. That’s really hard for me to narrow down to only 10, but I’ll give it a whirl 🙂 In no particular order […]
Every once in a while, a book comes along that you know will stay with you forever. Pepper Basham’s The Thorn Bearer is the latest to fall into that category for me. As I said in my review here, her characters are rich and her language is poetic but her theme […]
It’s that time again, folks! Favorites Friday, where usually I will reach into the recesses of my reading past and pull out a trusty and beloved favorite (hence the theme) to review for you. Last week I discussed Danger In The Shadows by Dee Henderson – a book I’ve loved for […]
