Welcome to another edition of Top Ten Tuesday, hosted as always by the awesome team at The Broke & The Bookish. Today’s assigned theme is “Reasons I Love _____”. They graciously left that blank pretty open-ended for us to gush about our topic of choice, but for me there […]
Category: Top Ten Tuesday
Hi everyone! We are kicking off summer today on Top Ten Tuesday with our lists of beach reads! After last week’s atrociously difficult prompt for which I was only to come up with an embarrassing FOUR books (it still hurts a little), I have gone above and beyond this […]
Confession: I had no idea what to do for this week’s theme. The ladies at The Broke and the Bookish suggested that this week be about those books for which we feel differently now that time has passed. Ugh. First of all, if I love a book, I love it. […]
Welcome, one and all, to another edition of Top Ten Tuesday – a blog linkup hosted each week by The Broke and the Bookish. This week’s topic is about those books we’ve picked up on a whim. Not the books we’ve chosen based on someone else’s recommendations or maybe not […]
I’m not gonna lie. This week’s topic? It’s been causing me much angst ever since I first saw it, innocuously blinking at me from The Broke & The Bookish‘s Top Ten Tuesday page. I read (and reacted to) it in stages. “Websites i love” – oh, this will be fun! […]
It’s Children’s Book Week and this week’s Top Ten Tuesday fits right in. Today’s theme from The Broke and the Bookish is “Ten Childhood Characters You’d Love To Revisit As Adults (ie a novella or something to see what they grew up to be)” When I first read this, I […]
I love Tuesdays 🙂 I love participating in the weekly linkup over at The Broke and the Bookish. The topics are so much fun, and I’ve gotten to know so many blogging friends – and added so many books to my poor TBR continent – as a result of […]
This week’s theme is books that make you laugh. My first thought was, “Really?” Because it feels like I just did that topic (probably since I did). So I thought about doing some bookish humor instead… but … eh. At the end of the day, I decided I have enough […]
Hi Y’all! Welcome to another Top Ten Tuesday 🙂 This week’s topic is officially “Books that every (fill in the blank) needs to read”. I’m excited to see what everyone posts and I hope we get a variety of themes! I’m going with “books that every WW2 history buff needs […]
Welcome to another edition of Top Ten Tuesday, hosted as ever by the supercool folks at The Broke and the Bookish. I’m excited about this week’s topic – not only to introduce y’all to some of my very fave bookish people to follow on the interwebs, but also to see who everyone else recommends too!
To close out the month of March here on Top Ten Tuesday, we’re talking about our most recent 5-star reads. This was actually another difficult topic for me to cut off at 10 books because I’ve read so many fantastic books lately! But if I didn’t cut it off at 10, I’d still be talking about them next Tuesday… and probably the Tuesday after that.
Today on Top Ten Tuesday, the team at The Broke and the Bookish thought we should talk about those books that we don’t profile as often. Because, let’s face it – as book bloggers we do have a collection of books and authors that seem to crop up in almost every post. Especially the linkups and memes. So this Tuesday, we dedicate our blogs to those books we do really love so very much… but don’t talk about nearly enough.
Welcome, one and all, to another edition of Top Ten Tuesday – hosted as always by The Broke and the Bookish. This week we’re all talking about our Spring TBR lists…. well…. we’re supposed to be talking about our Spring TBR lists.
But mine quickly became the size of a small novel.
So, I made an executive decision and limited myself to just March.
Follow my blog with Bloglovin This week on Top Ten Tuesday, we are talking about characters. Technically the topic is about those characters that a) you alone dislike or b) you alone love. But I kinda did that already (last year), so I decided to talk instead about those secondary […]
This week’s Top Ten Tuesday topic (hosted as always by The Broke and the Bookish) is “books to read when you’re in the mood for ______”. I really enjoy these more open-ended themes because everyone’s posts have a greater chance of being tailored to their own personalities.
As someone who just plain loves stories and loves the adventure of reading, I do more than occasionally branch out into other categories 😉 But it’s always with a little trepidation at first, mainly because I’m not sure what I’ll encounter along the way. So when I learned of this week’s topic, I couldn’t help but think of my category-adventures as a bit like going on blind dates. Which brought to mind the popular experience that’s been sweeping through coffee shops and bookstores lately. Which led to… this post
This week’s Top Ten Tuesday topic (hosted as always by The Broke and The Bookish) is all about music. There are any number of ways to go about this, but I decided to talk about books that make me think of music. Whether it’s the theme of the book or just its title, these ten eleven books fill my heart (and sometimes my lips) with a song.
I. Am. SO EXCITED. As soon as I saw that today’s Top Ten Tuesday topic was a Valentine’s KissingBooks Day freebie, I knew immediately what my post would be about. Way back in August, I wrote my KissingBooks 101 post and it remains one of my most popular/highest viewed posts. But since then I have discovered some additionally swoon-worthy KissingBooks – or remembered some that I forgot about when I was writing the first lesson. I’ve had several people ask me to do another KissingBooks 101, and I am nothing if not accommodating when it comes to this topic 😉
Wow! I can’t believe January is over and done already!
Here’s a look at how the blog spent its time during the first month of the year
