This week’s topic for Top Ten Tuesday is “New-to-me Favorite Authors I Read for the First Time in 2015”. The great thing about starting a book blog this year is that I have been introduced to books by so many wonderful authors I hadn’t read before now! Narrowing down to 10 this week is difficult, so for brevity’s sake I didn’t include debut authors from 2015 in this list.
Category: Top Ten Tuesday
This week is all about those first novels by new authors, specifically the ones coming up in 2016 that we just can’t wait to read! I’ve picked some of the debut novels I’m most excited about – and then also some books by established authors who are starting either a new series or a new direction.
In honor of the upcoming holiday, I am dedicating this week’s Top Ten Tuesday to the fictional families I would most like to join for Thanksgiving. So, grab a plate, pile it high with all your favorite foods, and settle in for my dream invite list.
*Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly blog linkup hosted by The Broke and the Bookish* Today’s Top Ten Tuesday theme is supposed to be “Top Ten Quotes I Loved From Books I Read In The Past Year Or So” but that just overwhelmed me lol. So I’m cheating slightly (yes, […]
*Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly blog linkup hosted by The Broke and the Bookish* We’ve all heard the phrase “Never judge a book by its movie” and that is mostly true. But occasionally some book-to-movie adaptations come around that are as good as or (dare I say it) even […]
*Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly blog linkup hosted by The Broke and the Bookish* I’m excited about today’s theme – those authors whose debut novels have us itching to get our hands on their sophomore release. One of my favorite things about blogging is introducing people to talented new […]

*Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly blog linkup hosted by The Broke and the Bookish* This week, on Top Ten Tuesday, we’re talking about ten bookish things we want to quit. But let’s face it. We won’t. We would much rather be reading than doing silly things like breaking bookish […]
*Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly blog linkup hosted by The Broke and the Bookish* It is a truth universally acknowledged that we love Jane Austen. Her romantic heroes are the stuff of internet memes (Hey girl…) and fangirl obsessions galore. But if you’ve read all her books and/or need something […]
*Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly linkup hosted by The Broke and the Bookish* Y’all. So. many. books. My TBR pile is out of control. Can anyone else relate?? Today’s theme is the top ten books on my Fall TBR. And oh good heavens – how can I possibly narrow it […]
*Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly blog linkup hosted by The Broke and the Bookish I have a confession to make. In case you didn’t already know, I tend to develop book crushes. (Shocking, I’m sure.) The good news for my husband is that they disappear fairly quickly when I […]
(Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly blog linkup hosted by The Broke and the Bookish.) FTC Disclosure I just love Top Ten Tuesdays! They are admittedly a lot of work sometimes but also a lot of fun 🙂 This week’s theme is all about those finished series… that I haven’t […]
*a weekly blog link-up hosted by The Broke and the Bookish* We’ve all had them. Those characters who, for whatever reason, just didn’t click with us. Maybe they weren’t supposed to – they were the villain or the mean girl. What about those characters that other people seem to love… but […]
“You should be kissed and often, and by someone who knows how.” ~Gone With the Wind “Is this a kissing book?” ~ The Princess Bride Class is in session today for Top Ten Tuesday! And, since I’m a teacher in my other life, I couldn’t be happier. Grab your notebooks […]
I must confess – today’s topic (also known as – If you write it, I will read it) stresses me out. Why? Because I have SO MANY AUTHORS on my I-will-read-whatever-they-write list. I can’t possibly narrow it down to ten. (Next confession: My budget doesn’t allow for a lot of […]
Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly link-up hosted by the girls at The Broke and The Bookish. Today’s topic is all about the authors I’ve read the most books from. (That sentence structure drives me crazy but it is what it is lol.) As I perused my Goodreads “Read” shelf […]
I am SO EXCITED about this week’s Top Ten Tuesday theme: Fairytale Retellings. Why? Because I adore fairytales. Ever since my four-year-old self cascaded down the grand staircase at the Coronado Theater after seeing Cinderella for the first time, I have been a fairytale junkie. My Favorite Fairytale Retellings: (You will […]
On this week’s Top Ten Tuesday (hosted by BrokeandBookish), we are talking about characters who share our love of books. Several popped immediately to mind; others took a little digging through the recesses of my Goodreads lists. Pushing my list over 10 (I’m such a rebel), I’ve also included some […]
